the black people of the nation are being controlled, and pushed aside by the white government of the nation. He speaks of how 1964 is a crucial year wherein the
black people should argue its the ballot of the bullet, and if they dont then they should simply leave or return to their fields. The following paper analyzes and examines
this perspective. Malcolm X Speaks Throughout the speech Malcolm X, as noted, is essentially saying how the white people are doing incredible wrong and in this he seems
to be arguing that all white people are bad and pointed in an oppressive direction wherein the black people are concerned. At the same time he is also aggressively accusing
the black people of not standing up when they should, stating the following: "The ballot or the bullet. If youre afraid to use an expression like that, you should get
on out of the country, you should get back in the cotton patch, you should get back in the alley" (X, 1964). At the same time, interestingly enough, Malcolm is
stating that he does not even consider himself an American. Malcolm notes, in some respects, that one cannot be an American if they are not given the rights of
all Americans, namely the white people. But, then again, anyone who knew much of Malcolm also realizes that in many ways he did consider himself more of an African than
an American. If this was the case then his arguments are seemingly unfounded for he is arguing that all blacks must fight aggressively for their rights as Americans, while also
stating he doesnt think of himself as an American. And, he is clearly indicating that all white people are wrong and that they are ultimately all against the black people
