development of both Malaysia and Burkina Faso is deeply routed in an integrated process of international trade. Both countries have demonstrated improvements in their economic picture, their gross domestic
product (GDP) and their export capabilities as a result of trade links formed in recent decades. Over the course of
the last two decades, for example, the development of trade between the countries of Asia has enhanced the capacity to maintain an international business base, and has supported the development
of commerce in countries like China, Hong Kong, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and Malaysia. Malaysia, one of the countries with the most to gain from an enhanced
Asian trade identification, has demonstrated substaintial economic gains as a result of the changes that have occurred. At the same time, Malaysia has also been negatively impacted by economic
changes in other countries, including Japan and Thailand. Similarly, Burkina Faso, one of the poorest countries in the world, has made economic
