type of unemployment is to provide minimal assistance to those in need, while matching "up cycle" jobs with "down cycle" displaced workers. Frictional
unemployment is sometimes referred to as "search unemployment," as it results from people temporarily being between jobs. Some frictional unemployment is involuntary (such as when an individual has been
fired), but most is completely voluntary and generally is temporary as those affected by it actively seek other employment. Effective government policies can include facilitating the job search, such
as providing better information to job seekers and employers so that they can find each other in a reduced length of time. Some European countries maintain national job banks
resident on centralized computers (Unemployment types, n.d.). Structural unemployment is that which causes the greatest angst and is most difficult to overcome.
