through written proof. Given that, here are the myths/hypotheses. H1. Practicing Hinduism prevents the student from being violent. This is because Hinduism
does not support violence. Though some religions and beliefs preach that violence is at times justified, this isnt necessarily supported by Hinduism or like religions.
H2. A college education is the key to an enriched life (as well as a better job). Education is the key to solving personal and social problems.
H3. Helping other people also provides an enriched and balanced life. In this paper,
well focus on a literature review that would either dispute or support the above points, then conclude with whether or not the hypotheses can be proven or disproved. Methodology
To determine whether there is proof or support of the above hypotheses, we conducted an exhaustive search of publications and Web sites on
the Internet that dealt with three topics: the values and beliefs of Hinduism; the advantages and disadvantages of a college education in terms of life balance and the benefits of
helping others, also in terms of life balance. The sources selected for these topics ranged from Web sites, to magazines articles, to scholarly journal articles.
