many positions requisite the masters degree. Of course, the prospect of getting through a Masters program is more than just something that will enhance my vocational opportunities. I believe I
will learn a lot more about computer technology, a field that I love. I believe that I can achieve a great deal in the context of the MSCIT program.
It will serve to sharpen the skills I already possess, as well as to provide me with the credentials necessary for success in the real world. A student writing on
this subject may want to project himself five years into the future and write something along the following lines: I believe that in about five years after I receive the
degree, I will be working in a managerial position. I would prefer to work in a small company, where there are few programmers and I can hire my own staff.
I would also like to develop the infrastructure of a start up company, or one that simply wants to add a department in house. Above all, I prefer the corporate
environment. If I am not able to secure a job in a small firm, I would like to be integral to developing staff in a department in a larger company.
For example, I might enjoy working for a large insurance company in the IT department. In such a role, I would be able to service various departmental needs. I
do realize that I will start in a lower position in a larger firm. In a small company, I would have more creative freedom. However, at a larger firm, there
will likely be more room for advancement and greater monetary rewards. Although I enjoy the technical end of things, I look forward to the camaraderie I might experience as a
