businesses have come to be obliged to find greater internal efficiencies to preserve and promote profitability over the long term. My experience in several areas of information technology (IT)
as well as accounting has led me to a place of beginning to understand the value that Masters preparation in Quantitative Methods and Modeling can provide, and it is one
reason I am now applying for admission to the Master of Science (MS) in Quantitative Methods and Modeling at Baruch Colleges Zicklin School of Business.
Another reason for application to the program at this time is that my long-term career goal is to become a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in the future.
Many of todays CFOs hold Masters degrees either in business or a related discipline, and it is likely that Masters preparation will be a minimum standard by the time I
have gained the education and experience necessary to achieve the position I seek in my career. Further, it will be necessary to hold a Masters degree to attain the
types of positions that form the career path that can lead to a CFO position. In todays environment business is more competitive than at any other time in the
past and the trend is toward even greater intensity in the future. CFOs already face immense challenges in their current roles, and those of the future will face even
