businesses have come to be obliged to find greater internal efficiencies to preserve and promote profitability over the long term. My experience in several areas of information technology (IT)
as well as accounting has led me to a place of understanding the necessity of astute financial management and its likely role in future organizational development, providing one reason I
am applying for admission to the Pace University MBA program with a concentration in financial management. Another reason for application to the program
at this time is that my long-term career goal is to become a Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and it will be necessary to hold an MBA degree to attain the
types of positions that form the career path that can lead to a CFO position. In todays environment business is more competitive than at any other time in the
past and the trend is toward even greater intensity in the future. CFOs already face immense challenges in their current roles, and those of the future will face even
greater ones. MBA preparation will provide a broader base from which to meet those challenges. Personally, I possess an array of skills
that will provide a sound foundation on which to build for future goals. Among my knowledge-based skills are computer programming and accounting experience, as mentioned above. Both disciplines
