every good or service, there are market and economic forces that regulate supply and demand. This is no different in the health care services market. In this paper, well examine
market forces and economic factors as they pertain to assisted living services. Assisted living is designated as care for adults who require help
with every day tasks such as dressing, bathing, eating or using the bathroom (Assisted Living, 2010). However, these adults dont require full-time nursing care (Assisted Living, 2010). In fact, many
of these adults are able to enjoy a variety of activities, but require help with some tasks. Assisted living services can take place in conjunction with a retirement community, as
part of a skilled nursing center or delivered to individuals at home. Assisted living is a terrific concept, but two things stand in
the way. First, it can be quite expensive and second, Medicare doesnt cover it. Who are the stakeholders involved with assisted living?
There is, of course, the client - the typical assisted living resident is an 80-year-old woman who is still mobile but requires assistance with approximately two activities involved with daily
