the student has in mind, this will be a general paper that explores managerial contexts through the questions answered. What are the two or three biggest challenges of managing the

Seriously, the biggest challenge of all is trying to bring different people who have their own agendas together onto the same page. Its almost like herding cats, because you never
know what person is going to go in what direction. And its not just the whole diversity, people-from-a-different-background issue, either, though that can be interesting enough. But people are people
- they might be focused and on task one day, and the next falling apart and not knowing what the heck theyre doing or saying.
Beyond that, trying to walk the thin line between what senior management wants and what I know my people can deliver on is also a huge
challenge. Senior management sometimes just doesnt want to hear that a report is late because the project leaders father died two days ago.
