diverse environment. TO: InterClean Supervisory Team FROM: Da Boss RE: Pending merger with EnviroTech As most of you know, the merger with EnviroTech will
be completed soon. The addition of some stellar quality staff to our InterClean family will be very helpful and will help us even better help our customers. As we move
from a sales-based to solutions-based model, the skills and background that our new colleagues will bring to us will be invaluable. There is
little doubt, however, that EnviroTechs culture is different from ours. As a result, you, as the supervisory team, will have to help us ensure that both cultures are well-integrated and
able to function effectively. In short, we dont want anyone feeling left out, angry or unhappy as a result of this merger. The very good news is that no one
is losing his/her job as a result of the merger. Here are some things to consider when it comes to working with staff
from both companies. First, your behavior is going to impact productivity. Youre the leader. You need to set the example. If you encourage
the "us-and-them" mentality, trust me, the atmosphere will be tense and hostile. I know there are some sales supervisors who like to foster competition among staff. Thats great. I have
nothing wrong with healthy competition to spur sales. But if youre going to do it, make sure the teams are an equal mix of InterClean and EnviroTech folks.
