the late 19th century, when Taylor first introduced his scientific method of management, there wasnt much school of thought dedicated to management training. Managers were appointed because of their abilities
to give orders and have those orders followed. There was little, if anything, in the way of planning, marshalling resources or even delegation. Managers in the early 19th century became
pretty good at winging it. It was because there was such a lack of any kind of direction or framework, that Henri Fayol, often referred to as the Father of
Systemization, was heralded as such a groundbreaker when he introduced his ideas that the administrative factor of any company needed to be considered for that company to be a success.
Through Fayols concepts of order, discipline and planning, businesses found themselves a lot more organized, with their resources headed in the right direction.
However, during the latter part of the 20th century, things had drastically changed. Managers could pull from a variety of schools of thought and from different types of
management education to help motivate their employees. The idea of different types of organizations, organizational culture, employee relations, and so on, had been steadied extensively. There was an evolution away
from the idea that administration was king, and more of a move toward the idea that maybe the employee shouldnt be overlooked in any kind of management scenario. The employees,
after all, are the ones doing most of the work, and their needs should be considered. Still, there was enough of Fayols
