for the animal kingdom. But, a quick observation of any nightclub on a Friday or Saturday night, will quickly dispel this notion. What follows, then, is a brief study and
observation of the ritual mating and courtship behaviors of the male human being. What is male? Men were expected to be strong, heroic and pious.
They were to be a leading example to the lesser sex and children. They were not expected to show any emotion, except that of happiness or contentment, or pious devotion
to his Church. The male heroes of the past were all of the same type of bigger than life persona. These heroes faced insurmountable odds without flinching.
The reality, of course, is that no one is perfect and no one is bigger than life. Most people are a curious and wonderful mix of good and
bad, saint and sinner. This is easy enough to see any given night at the local bars. In particular, the Western themed nightclubs, especially those in upscale areas, seem to
draw the widest diversity in male personality types. Watching these various men and their attempts to find a mate says much about our society and about societys perception of what
and who a man is to be. Non-verbal male language Within the nightclub it may be noticed that a good deal of the communication that is going on, regardless of
type of male, is non-verbal in nature. This may be due to the fact that the noise level in such establishments is quite high, or it may be the fact
