Essay / Research Paper Abstract
A 5 page overview of the roles of these three New York delegates in the Constitutional Convention. Emphasizes that these three men contrasted vividly in their opinions and philosophies in comparison to the language and provisions which ultimately would be incorporated into the Constitution of the United States. Concludes that while the voices of the few men like Martin, Lansing, and Yates were ultimately muted, they were muted by a majority of men who envisioned a strong and united country. The viewpoints of the majority and the minority blended together into the volatile mix which was just right for the insurance of a document which would stand the tests of time.
