About When We Talk About Love is a compilation of short stories and are perhaps his most famous works. These stories are forward, shocking, funny, depressing, weird and always
surprising. They are simple stories and often the author chooses to leave out what could be considered pertinent details but then again, the reader is left feeling the rawness
of the story which is exactly what Carver intended (Raymond Carver - What We Talk About). The rawness of these stories tends to center on the idea of
the transient nature of love. These stories are snapshots of sorts into the lives of various people with various troubles. The reader easily sympathizes and understands the
