and tools we can look at a company and hypothesised the type of systems they are likely to use. For this we can look as dabs.com, an IT retailers selling
over 15,000 different products and has agencies with companies such as Sony, Microsoft, Toshiba and Hewlett Packard as well as many others. Dabbs is also dealing with a total of
more than 1.5 million registered customers that are both business and consumer customers. Selling IT products the business model is that of the warehouse and direct sales, without any
physical direct interaction with customers. The facility to collect goods from them was withdrawn in November 2002 as it was not effective and did not fit in with the business
model. The company was started in 1990 by David Atherton as Dabbs Direct and was a mail order business which was only to become an online business later as
the medium, of the internet and the attractiveness of e-commerce was realised by businesses and consumers alike. With such a large product base as well as customer base we
