was founded in 1909 when the Glenn Martin Company began the development of aircraft and seven years after that, the Loughead Aircraft Manufacturing Company had been created (2002).
It would later change its name to Lockheed and both companies in fact played significant roles in the creation of aviation technology (2002). After creating and supplying aircraft and
weaponry to the United States and its allies when the two World Wars were in progress, the companies made great strides in all types of jet aircraft, rocketry, as well
as space flight technology ("The Lockheed," 2002). Both companies became leaders in terms of the defense industry through the development and advancement of fighter aircraft as well as missiles
and space vehicles (2002). The firm status has only been enhanced since the companies merged in 1995 (2002). Clearly, Lockheed Martin is a company that does numerous things. It
is related to the defense industry, but it is also involved in space travel, something that has nothing to do with defense at all. Because it has its hand in
multiple cookie jars, it likely should subscribe to a variety of ethical codes. Certain types of businesses subscribe to one organization. For example, real estate agencies must make sure they
abide by codes of conduct laid out by the Realtors Association. Dog breeders have to conform to codes laid out by particular breed associations. That is clear. As far
