understanding lifelong learning is to recognize that learning is continuous; individuals do not start or stop learning when they enter or leave school. Instead, learning is a process that
continues throughout the life course, and individuals who are able to embrace lifelong learning as an approach to living are able to embrace change. Thesis Life lessons
that occur in early childhood often shape the way individuals develop. Lessons about honesty, integrity, work ethic and even brotherhood are substantial lessons that children often learn early in
life. Those who do not learn these lessons early often find they struggle with them throughout life. Sometimes, fundamental lessons come later in life as a result of
an absence of earlier learning. At any rate, it is important to recognize that learning occurs over a continuum and that it is cumulative; lifelong learning is an important
concept because it demonstrates that change is possible throughout life and experience is central to influencing individual perspective. Life Lessons When I was a
young child growing up in Mississippi, there were two people whom I looked up to; two people who taught me lessons about life and directed some of my major choices.
These two people were my father and my great grandmother. Like many young boys, I saw my father as a role model. My father was a decent
man, a man who sometimes experienced conflict, but often made the right choice. Though I had some of the usual conflicts with my father over authority and my own
