miniscule population compared to what might be out there, there is still no hard evidence that life exists in this galaxy or in any other. NASA and the federal
government continue to spend millions of dollars on the exploration of space, with the belief or hope that we will someday find other life. In recent months, the exploration
of Mars has turned up evidence that water once existed on the red planet, leading way to speculaation about the presence of bacteria or other early life forms (Berger).
The assessment of meteorite believed to be from Mars and found in the Antarctic shows considerable data that suggests that bacteria were once presnce in the stratified rock formation (Williams).
Critics argue that the data is not concrete enough, and even if bacteria exist, there is no evidence that suggests that bacteria inevitably lead to the creation of higher
life forms (spacetoday.net). Believers argue that this type of process could not have occured only once in a universe. Thesis Statement The thesis for this study
is that although NASA and the goverment has spent a considerable amount of money on the exploration of possible human life on Mars, searching should continue because planetary scientists can
