There are no written records about what life was like and all we can do is make assumptions based on the remains, remains of our ancestors. The following paper looks
at some of the information available and discusses what life was like, or was probably like, during the Paleolithic and the Neolithic Eras. The Paleolithic Era The Paleolithic Age,
often called the Old Stone Age, lasted from 500.000-10.000 B.C.. This particular age is considered to be the longest lasting age of mankind, prehistoric or historic. Life during this age
was incredibly difficult because the world was quite wild and the skills and tools of mankind were relatively undeveloped. "They tended to stay in large groups and had to share
their food with other family members" (Paleolithic Age, 2004). According to this particular author if we happened to come across these ancient ancestors we would likely see a group
of people living much like animals. Their "living conditions depended on their hunting and fishing abilities, or collecting edible plants from the nature around them" (Paleolithic Age, 2004). They did
not know how to produce any of the food they ate and they needed to generally move around from place to place locating what was edible. "The remains of bones
and other remains of wild animals have been found in the caves in large quantities, so we understand that these people just ate their food and left the remains there
in their cave" (Paleolithic Age, 2004). They possessed very little skills in terms of making anything and they generally used very simple tools. Their tools had to come from
