keep his family alive. Nawab is a very strong man who has not always been handed the best lot in life, but yet a man who has always made the
most of what he does have. The following paper examines the story and what the author is saying about life. The paper illustrates how the author is stating that life
is essentially what one makes of it. Life and Nawabdin Electrician Everyone is handed a life and it is the choice of the individual to do with their
life what they will. Of course there is also the element of environment that can all but destroy and individual and their dreams but for the most part people can
make their life into a positive or a negative. Each person will make choices based on what they are offered in their lives. For example, Nawab is clearly not a
wealthy man and his is a man who works for another, much like a slave in some respects. He could have made the choice to lead a life of crime
to feed his many children and his wife but instead he chose to work very hard and essentially manipulate life to his own advantage. He is faced with a robber
whom he ultimately has no sympathy for, indicating very strongly that the character of Nawab knows that people make their own choices and there is no one to blame. This
robber almost kills Nawab and yet Nawab was triumphant in keeping his bike and his life. The robber begs him, however, in the next hospital bed, "Forgive me for what
I did. I was brought up with kicks and slaps and never enough to eat. Ive never had anything of my own, no land, no house, no wife..." (Mueenuddin [2]).
