of the student, as they relate to licensure in Tennessee in the field of education. Licensure: Education: Tennessee 1. How may a
teacher be denied a teaching license? A teacher may be denied a license for many reasons. One of the reasons could be because the individual has been convicted of a
felony (Rules of the State Board of Education: Tennessee, 2006). The individual could be denied a license if they are convicted of possession of narcotics, or "Being on school premises
or at a school-related activity involving students while documented as being under the influence of, possessing or consuming alcohol or illegal drugs" (Rules of the State Board of Education: Tennessee,
2006). In addition, if the individual has falsified any information on documents necessary to obtain a license they can be denied a license (Rules of the State Board of Education:
Tennessee, 2006). If the individual has had any problem with a license in another region, whether it be denial, suspension or revocation, there could be cause to deny a license
in Tennessee (Rules of the State Board of Education: Tennessee, 2006). The last possibility is simply "good cause" which could cover many things such as a default on a student
