Dear Mr. Doe, I am writing to bring a serious matter to your attention. I have been a business customer
of your bank for many years, and I have operated under the impression that Shyster Bank conducts its business with integrity and honesty. Recent events have led me to
reevaluate that belief, however. If this matter has not been known to the banks management then it desperately needs to be brought to light. If the banks management
is aware of the problem then I will be closing all accounts I have at your bank and will be encouraging my friends, colleagues and acquaintances to do the same.
The matter of concern is Shyster Banks failure to preserve the privacy of its customers. I have suffered a downturn in my
own business during recent months despite the current favorable economic climate. In the course of investigating the reasons for that downturn, several former customers have indicated that they stopped
doing business with my company solely on the basis of rumor and innuendo originating with the husband of one of your front desk employees, Mrs. Ima Gossip. I have
not spoken to Mrs. Gossip personally and I have not personally heard her make any untoward statements either about my business or my integrity as a business person. All
of the reports I have found in the course of investigating my own business, however, leads to Mrs. Gossips husband and his unauthorized knowledge of my financial affairs, both personally
and in my business. Several of the former customers I have interviewed have provided me with signed statements addressing the reasons they ceased doing business with my company.
