is contrary to what many people seem to think. But, Piper says: "Missions exist because worship doesnt" (Piper, 2003, p. 17). And, he says that "worship is the fuel of
missions" (Piper, 2003, p. 17). Piper discuses many theological issues, one of which is eternal life. He also discusses the theological issues of the need for atonement, the necessity
of faith in Christ for our eternal salvation. Eternal life is exactly that - eternal joy or eternal misery. Salvation requires a belief in Jesus as Lord and Savior. A
recurring theme is the Supremacy of God in all things. He says that life is a war because the faithful always have to be fighting for their faith all the
time. He gives the example of Paul, who at the end of his life said: "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the
faith" (2 Timothy 4:7). And, Paul told Timothy: "Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life . . . ." (1 Timothy 6:12). Paul acknowledged
that life is a fight, it is a war and we are in battle all the time to retain and grow our own faith. The author says that prayer
