for they appear to be stuck in a social condition wherein hopes and dreams are never realized. One character, perhaps one of the happiest, is Lennie. Lennie is a simple
man because he is developmentally disabled. The following paper discusses and analyzes his character, primarily as a tragic hero in relationship to his failed dream. Lennie in Of
