those law enforcement individuals who conduct their various activities, can very from state to state and situation to situation. While some laws may seem obvious in one manner or another
regarding rights, laws are always subject to change as court cases can often change the precedent. The following paper examines two particular cases and discusses whether or not the law
enforcement officials had the right to act as they did. Case #1 In the first case two patrol police officers were
in their police car making the rounds of a particular neighborhood that was known for drug sales and drive by shootings. They saw 4 men who quickly began to run,
or perhaps walk very quickly at the very least, toward a car they had been standing behind. The officers believed that the men were, at the very least, violating the
anti-loitering law of the area and so the police officers followed the car and ordered the men out. One officer saw a magazine clip in the car, in plain view,
and then the men were questioned, with the men ultimately being read their rights, given another chance to answer questions truthfully, and then arrested when they did not comply. After
the arrest the car was searched and weapons and magazine clips were found, all pointing to the mens involvement in a robbery. The question being asked by the student
is whether or not the stop of the vehicle was legal. For the most part a police officer, perhaps in every state, has the legal right to pull over any
motor vehicle for any number of reasons. A police officer can pull a car over if the driver changes speeds, shows any suspicious signs of any conduct, and perhaps even
