abilities of potential leaders carries great importance. This paper will carry out an analysis of the leadership potential of team member Sheila, in the context of an overall team data
analysis. Specifically, the team as a whole ranks in four categories related to leadership. An overall impression of subjective leadership ability may suggest a charismatic approach to leadership (Avolio &
Yammarino, 2002). Moreover, the dichotomy between task-oriented and people-oriented leadership styles lends insights into the overall strategic inclinations of a potential leader. A leader with the trait of people-centricity would
tend to gravitate towards charismatic or transformational forms of leadership, as an example (Kirkpatrick & Locke, 1995). All leaders must also wield power, but as leaders wield power in different
ways, effective analyses also take this into consideration; whether a leaders use of power is coercive, reward-oriented, or based in expertise or strategic superiority reflects strongly on the overall approach
to leadership (Clawson 2006). Lastly, the resolution of conflicts is essential to leadership, and as such, the analysis looks at this area as well, to understand how a potential leader
