what we should and should not do. However, have you ever considered when and how these values are developed; do we have an inherent knowledge of good and bad before
we are born which develops from the time we are fetuses, or do we develop the ability to differentiate right from wrong as part of our cogitative development? If the
processes are learned how and when do we learn them? This is essentially the argument of nature versus nurture. While growing up I remember my parents teaching me right
from wrong, telling me "no Emmanuel" and holding up a finger in order to prevent me from undertaking inaction that they perceived as wrong, such as an action that would
have harmed myself or others. The sharp no became associated with a parent was displeased. As a child I learned not to repeat the actions which displeased my parents, I
did not like the displeased reaction and as I got older understood that bad behavior may result in punishments, such as temporarily losing access to treasured toys. I also remember
my mother praising me when undertaking good actions, from showing care for other children and sharing toys food performing well in school tests, the look of happiness on her face
and the phrases such as "well done Emmanuel", often accompanied by clapping to emphasize the reaction when I was younger. I see the same processes taking place when looking
around me, with aunts and uncles raising their children, clapping in praising and when they do well and stating a sharp no when they do wrong. I have also observed
