charisma. Todays leaders often possess vision, particularly as it relates to what organizations can become (Leonard, 1999). Leaders assist in the implementation of mission statements, and they do possess goals
that will exceed their life span. In other words, they look above and beyond their own interests. They may care about their legacy, but that is only a peripheral concern.
Also, they do not simply relay their ideas to their underlings. Instead, they energize people to achieve their goals (Leonard, 1999). Leaders often initiate improvements through changing organizational culture
(Leonard, 1999). At least, that is what good leaders do. Leaders do not manage organizations as much as they try to transform them (Leonard, 1999). The essential difference between leadership
and management is that the latter is involved with mundane tasks, but the former is an intangible necessity. Leadership can be a driving force that allows for change, but does
not necessarily drive it. There are many different types of leadership models. There are also different types of leadership styles, and each works best in different situations. Some are also
newer and more malleable, while others such as the Machiavellian, authoritarian leadership style has been largely ignored in modern times. It should be noted that while leadership style matters,
it is also the case that leadership in general is also associated with the leading of different functions. If someone is leading a group as opposed to an entire country,
or a conglomerate, there are different tactics that may be employed. When a group leader faces challenges, such as taking over an existing group or forming a group, there
