the terms manager and supervisor as interchangeable, at least categorically. Many companies have titles such as "supervisor" or "manager" for example, and the manager is generally the higher position. But
essentially, each plays a role in the hierarchy and manages people, data or things. Yet, their roles are fundamentally the same. Still, some supervisors or managers will exhibit leadership
qualities, while others will just struggle with their jobs and not really make much of a difference in terms of how their role plays out in the company. Leadership, as
a concept, is a positive trait and necessary for any successful supervisor or manager, but it is not the same thing as good management. What is the difference between leadership
and management? To many people, the terms are interchangeable, but they are really two different things. The gist of the explanation is that management is related to the managing of
things or people, but leadership is equated with inspiration and leading people in a certain direction. Although leadership sounds like a more important concept, management is very important too. Mismanagement
can lead to chaos. Much has been written about management and leadership and some of these concepts may be applied to the analysis at hand. Leadership is a fundamental
