to their leadership skills and potential. In many ways it is perhaps easier to look back in history and see who the good and bad leaders were. As such it
is often, for example, easy to see how and why Martin Luther King Jr. was a good leader. The following paper examines the notion of leadership, examining and defining it,
and then moves on to examining, individually and collectively, Barack Obama and Martin Luther King Jr. as it involves leadership. Leadership
Leadership is something of a unique position and a position that society, as well as individuals require in any community or social structure. A leader can be good or bad,
as one well knows, and as such leadership is not necessarily always a positive reality. Leaders are people who have the ability to stand for something relevant to the community
or the society. For example, Hitler was a leader and a very effective and powerful leader for he spoke to the people and gave them hope for things they were
concerned about. But, he clearly was not a "good" leader in the sense that his leadership improved the condition of humanity. A
leader is someone who has the energy and the passion to stand for and with the people to some extent. A leader is someone who knows what it is the
people want and struggles for those needs and wants while also perhaps following their path in their own needs and desires. This is likely where good leaders and bad leaders
