Essay / Research Paper Abstract

9 pages in length. The notion of leadership is such an integral component of successful organizations that the term is all too often bandied about without a genuine understanding of just what it means on both a personal and broad spectrum level. Leadership requires much more than merely holding a title; rather, it incorporates vast amounts of personal traits, industry savvy, professional ethics, open-mindedness and strong communication skills for anyone to be considered a true leader. The extent to which leadership is responsible for making or breaking a given organization is both grand and far-reaching; that the ability to challenge, inspire, enable, encourage and become a role model for the entire organization speaks to the notion of leadership as the tipping point between success and failure.
