considered in terms the associated strategies and how these may be managed and/or adjusted. It is highly likely that a student will be passionate and care about the way that
they undertake leadership practices, which means that whatever approaches are adopted incorporate emotional as well as behavioural traits and leadership strategies. To consider the leadership styles and strategies that
first stage is to define what is meant by leadership, this is key to examining the underlying strategies. The term leader can be defined as "a guiding or directing head,
as of an army, movement, or political group" (Dictionary.com, 2010). The emergence of leadership will vary depending on many environmental issues and influences, such as culture, available skills and needs
