I work for a young, entrepreneurial company where "channels" exist but any individual is free to exercise whatever means s/he feels is necessary and appropriate to preserve the flow of
work that is seasonal, cyclical and crushingly heavy during the busy seasons. The workforce is comprised of professional business people escaping corporate life, retired teachers, burned out marketers and
those who have made mid-career changes originating in a variety of backgrounds. There is little internal accountability other than producing the documents that we provide on a contract basis.
As a senior member of the group, I frequently am charged with assisting new contractors learn required survival techniques and helping with their
