Further, she states that models of shared leadership lead to conflicts between competing heads and points to a series of corporate scandals and issues in education that have resulted from the mass migration to this leadership model. In contrast, Kouzes & Posner (2007) posit that credibility is the foundation of all leadership and their transformational leadership method will make any business a success. As the research belies this as a pure truth, but believing it is the best leadership style overall, Ruderman (2008) offers a four-step plan to mitigate the problems that arise from the transformational leadership model. Her model incorporates some ideas from the old management style, which she feels can still be useful in some organizations. Her goal is to provide a method for deciding which style is right for an organization. In light of the detrimental effects of either-or models, the value in Rudermans resolution model cannot be overlooked. Literature Review Kouzes & Posner offer a solid transformational leadership model in their leadership challenge. Their five point concept of modeling the way, inspiring a shared vision, challenging the process, enabling others to act, and encouraging the heart is viewed as a positive method of getting most people involved in the organization to a high extent. As the authors state, in practice, it works best when credibility of the top manager is never in doubt.
