of Japan and the US we can consider how there are differences in the labour flexibility, and the reasons for these differences. Within this we need to consider the
social, political and economic and how they all interact together. There are many ways that this is seen, not only in the manners and demeanour of the people, but
also in the expectations and ethics of the people. If we look at Japan we can then compare the models that we see emerge with those that we know of
the US. When we consider Japan we see a country that was devastated after the second world war, with social structures as well
as the physical infrastructures destroyed. However, now we see a country which is renowned for high quality high tech goods, such as audio and video equipment. This has required that
the economy change, and that the employees within the economy become more flexible in their approach to the job so that they can make the new technological developments as well
as embrace them. The reason for this success has been the adoption of a form of capitalism in the Japanese economy. However,
it is not in the form of capitalism that many western business managers would recognise. This form of capitalism has been referred
