is being used to do more than simply stop sniffling noses. The chemical, when properly rendered, can lead to the manufacture of certain types of methamphetamines, which are then sold
to youth and others who want the stimulant drug. To try to deter this type of thing, the city of Lubbock, Texas,
recently promoted a "Meth Ordinance that severely limited sales of over-the-counter cold and allergy remedies, insisting that pharmacists keep these products behind the counter. Lubbock joins other areas in the
U.S. to try to reduce the incidences of manufacture of this drug. In this paper, well examine Lubbock as a town, see
the impact of drugs on the town and then discuss the relationship between meth and pseudoephedrine. Well conclude with an analysis of whether banning cold medications is necessarily the way
