management/situation score is generally x-theory management, while the personal score generally prefers y-theory management. How would these scores impact or relate to the
duties of a logistics manager? To answer this question, it might first be helpful to define what, exactly, the duties of a
logistic manager might be. Logistics, pure and simple, is the method that translates inputs (i.e., raw material and labor) into output (the final product). Logistics is what transports both the
inputs into the system, and the output to wherever it needs to go (the market, a client, or somewhere else). For the first
survey, we have a logistics manager with a strong tendency toward x-theory management. This means somewhat authoritarian, with a fairly repressive style. Little development is involved with the scenario, with
the culture being more depressed and innovative. On the opposite end of the spectrum is the employee, who prefers a y-theory type of environment, which involves continuous improvement through enabling,
empowerment and the taking of responsibility. Though it might seem as though these two are at the opposite end of the spectrum, lets see how this might work in the
field of logistics. Logistics must be coordinated with a particular time schedule. In other words, schedules need to be met so that raw
