the Nadler-Tushman Congruence Model; or as many call it, the Congruence Model. The main gists of this model are that 1) organizations operate as systems within a larger environment; 2)
because of their structure, organizations are flexible and open to change; 3) organizational behavior occurs at all levels (individual, group and systems); and 4) interactions are an ongoing thing at
all levels (Falletta, 2005). Can this particular model be applied to Lockheed Martin Corp. and its outputs? Thats what this paper is
all about. Outputs are loosely defined as a number of particular products produced, or created, in a period of time. Other outputs
can involve numbers of customers visited in a certain time period, number of people served in a certain time period, and so on.
Lockheed Martins outputs are wide and varied. The company known to "move products in a time of crisis" according to researcher Jeff Dorsch (2009), is the number-one military
contractor in the world. The U.S. government accounts for about 85% of the governments sales in aerospace (Dorsch, 2009). There are other segments as well - the companys Electric Systems
and Information Systems & Global Services segments represent more than half of Lockheeds sales (Dorsch, 2009). Outputs, therefore, range between fighter yets, to space systems supporting strategic missiles, to IT,
