and increased over the last decade. Knowledge is more than information, it is defined as "the state or fact of knowing" (Dictionary.com, 2005), this indicates the need for understanding the
relevant and context of information so that it is a useful format. Many texts which are now used by business strategists focus on the use of knowledge management and it
is these texts that give us the clue to how and why knowledge managing is becoming more important. Levinson (2005) is keen to point out that information alone is
not knowledge not all information will have value, the kept to knowledge management is to use information and intellectual resources, such as intellectual capital in order to create knowledge that
can then be used. R. Gregory Wenig takes a similar approach and both Wenig and Levinson are in agreement with the
quotes as to be of value the knowledge need to be developed into a form there it is able to add value to an organisation, in effect become wisdom. Wenig
looks at how knowledge is gained and then used (KMF, 1996). Knowledge it is argued is gained from experience as well as the collection of information, the experience may be
