Revolution by nearly 100 years. This is interesting because of the extraordinary violence which it generated and the incredible loss of life. In fact, in terms of percentages,
more people fought in this war than any other in American history. This war was the result of conflicts between the English settlers and the native American Indians.
Although they had tried to coexist peacefully, violence erupted when the Indians had had enough of the settlers trying to interfere in their lives. The Colonists and the New England
Environment It is indeed perplexing that so few people know of this war let along the name of the war. This was a significant event in American history and
there are implications from this war which are still being felt to this day. When we picture the settlers coming to America and settling in the New England region, and
interacting with the native American Indians, typically we think of them sitting down to together and sharing apple pie and corn recipes. After all, thats the story we learn
in third grade, right? In truth, that isnt exactly what happened. When the settlers arrived in this country they did indeed encounter the native American Indians and for a
time things were peaceful. The general attitude on the part of the colonists was that they felt sorry for the natives and their primitive ways. Many of
the settlers looked upon the natives as literally lost souls. Not only did the settlers come to this country, but they brought with them their Christianity as well as
