At this time Kudler is examining various technologies to help boost the organizations marketing, advertising and sales activities which would, in turn, support
the customer and build customer loyalty. There is more to buying and implementing IT systems than buying a bunch of computer terminals and off-the-shelf software, however. Kudler needs to examine
her goals in the area of customer support, then base information technology systems and processes on those goals. Marketing One problem we
face when discussing "marketing goals" is that most people equate "marketing" with "promotion" (i.e., sales and advertising). As well see in this paper, advertising and sales are an important part
of the overall marketing concept - but there is so much more. What, exactly, is marketing? According to the American Marketing Association, "marketing
is the activity, set of institutions, and processes for creating, communicating, delivering and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners and society at large" (Definition of Marketing, 2007).
In other words, marketing involves everything from ensuring the right products are being offered to the right consumers, to ensuring that consumers are paying a price they believe is fair
for the offering. But how does a company like Kudler find out what a consumer wants, at what price the consumer will
