understatement. Lohff (2000) says: " Its just a dream are four words you would never want to utter in front of Jung. You could, but then he would intellectually dissect
you like a biology class frog" (p.535). The psychiatrist is a bit of an enigma. While he embraces psychoanalytic theory, he is not completely immersed in psychology. Unlike his peers,
Jung believes that spirituality has a place and that it is not an obstacle to happiness. Rather, it is necessary for fulfillment. Thus, when it comes to dreams, Jung evaluates
them in a broader context than might Sigmund Freud. Rather than look at symbols and hidden sexual meanings, Jung takes those into account but does not negate the deep dark
crevices of the mind that dreams grow in. Everyone has had a horrific nightmare at least once in his or her life. They
