a job done. They are required to deal with others, and encourage others to work together effectively and efficiently. In light of these realities the Johari Window is something that
can prove very useful for a supervisor or manager. The following paper examines this topic. Johari Window Back in the 1950s
two individuals came up with the notion of the Johari Window. These two individuals, "Luft and Ingham observed that there are aspects of our personality that were open about, and
other elements that we keep to ourselves. At the same time, there are things that others see in us that were not aware of" (Famous Models: Johari Window, 2006).
And, then there are things that no one knows or recognizes, for example elements of ourselves that we have subconsciously buried and others do not see. In this there are
four boxes of the window; things we know that others do not, things the individual and others know, things no one knows and things others know and we do not
know. When looking at this basic illustration or description it is clear that when a person is a supervisor they must realize
that everyone is complex and that they must learn to expose themselves to some extent. The employees surely know things about the supervisor the supervisor does not recognize and if
