A 3 page paper discussing attempts to model individual employment decisions. Job-search theory seeks to model the individual's decision whether to enter the labor market at all, and then his decision of whether to change jobs or leave the labor market completely. There are many factors influencing individuals' decisions and the theory will always be incomplete if based only on wage as the sole determining factor for the individual, but it can still be valuable in aiding organizations to optimize their employment recruiting efforts.
