two men who created or founded the religions, Jesus and Mohammed. Through their lives and their message the religions developed over the centuries. The following paper examines the two, comparing
and contrasting them. Jesus and Mohammed Jesus was born around 4 BC while Mohammed was born in 570 AD (Let Us Reason Ministry, 2009). They were both born
to relatively simple families. In Jesus case his step father was a carpenter, which Jesus took as his trade till he traveled and began his teachings. Mohammed "started as a
shepherd then became a camel-caravan leader" (Let Us Reason Ministry, 2009). They were both individuals who essentially set out to find some truth, some connection to their spiritual side. Jesus
was set on a mission by God, believed to be the son of God, as he gathered apostles and taught many people, performing miracles. In the case of Mohammed he
went off and was visited by an angel that gave him the word of Allah, which Mohammed wrote down. He continued to gather information, being visited on occasion, and became
the first prophet of Islam, writing down the words which would become the Quran. In the case of Jesus he wrote nothing and the Bible, the book of the Christian
faith, was written after Jesus death by varied authors. Mohammed essentially started Islam and in the case of Jesus, his works and his life and claims were not made into
a religion for many decades after his death. In light of this information the death of Jesus did not really have an
