Brief Biography Jens Laugesen was born in Demark in 1967 and went to Paris in 1987 where he studied design at the "Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne," from
which he was graduated in 1991 (Jens Laugesen biography, 2005). He worked for a time as a fashion journalist, before returning to Paris in 1994; he received a Masters
degree in Fashion Management from "the Institut Fran?ais de la Mode" (Jens Laugesen biography, 2005). After this, Laugesen worked for various design houses in Paris before he moved to
London in 2000 (Jens Laugesen biography, 2005). He studied in London, receiving an MA in womens wear from Central St. Martins; his graduate collection won a "distinction," and "was chosen
by Paris boutique Maria Luisa to be exhibited in the windows of the store during Haute Couture Week in July 2002" (Jens Laugesen biography, 2005). Since then, he has
shown seven collections, won the "Top Shop New Generation Award," and presented his "Ground Zero 02" collection for Autumn/Winter 2003, which was part of the "official London Fashion Week schedule"
