laws. The economies in this area are also looking for investment, If we consider both Japan and Korea as potential targets for our investment we can consider their suitability for
investment in these countries by their different features and the advantages or disadvantages they may bring. There are many national and international conflicts and interest between Japan and many
other countries. However, we can also see that there have been many moves to maintain an internationally friend projection since the Second World War, and it is this that can
be seen as partly responsible for the economic success and recovery since that time. Most of the conflicts that are seen in Japan today tend to be trading rather than
military conflict, such as the conflict with Australia over coal and ore prices (Ferguson, 2000). More major conflicts can be seen as occurring between Japan and Korea, however even these
appear to be lessening in their significance. If we look to the major adversaries we may argue that America remains one of
these despite the trading relationship, due to the continued presence of military staff at Okinawa (Ching, 1998). There may also be said to be a somewhat adversarial relationship between American
and Korea. We may wish to also consider the relationship with Korea as this was only seen to change in 1998 when Kim
Dae Jung President of the Republic of Korea visited Japan, and there was an agreement to put the past behind them and build " a relationship between countries geographically close
