the entire planet. Cousteau was many things, but his primary gift to the people was that of being "man of the coast" (Anonymous,
1997; ecousteau.html#Biographical). His unwavering devotion to the sanctity of the sea was apparent in his works, the way he spoke of its magic and in how he lived his
everyday life. His contagious passion, which was born out of a need to survive, kept viewers entertained time and time again as he introduced the world to underwater sights
they would otherwise never have seen. "Sometimes we are lucky enough to know that our lives have been changed. It happened
