Tom Sneed, the HR director, that Joe is "toxic, overbearing, evil and incompetent." In the meantime, things arent much better in housekeeping -
there has been an above-normal rate of absenteeism and high turnover in that position as well. As a result, managers working in other departments, such as payroll, accounting and elsewhere,
have asked full-time employees to cover for housekeeping by periodically cleaning rooms (this probably doesnt go over very well with the non-housekeeping employees). Director of housekeeping Andrew Keehn is trying
to add more staff - but because of the staff shortage, the housekeepers are forced to clean more rooms per day than housekeeping staff at other casinos.
This has also impacted hotel check-in - guests have had to check in late (rather than check-in times at 3 p.m., its been moved to 6
p.m.). Customers arriving earlier are being forced to wait, with their luggage having to be placed in a room until their rooms are clean.
JCs owner is oblivious - hes not sure why dealers are leaving and guests are upset. It is, therefore, up to this writer to come up with suggestions on
how to improve turnover and to boost retention. The first recommendation would be to give the owner a reality check about his step-son, and then have him give his step-son
the boot. The second suggestion would be to give HR director Tom Sneed a good talking to, and to remind him that his job involves human resources - in other
