Thanks to the advent of web services, XML and standard web protocols, the inability of organizations to communicate meaningfully and effectively now truly can be a thing of the past. The next – current – generation of web services evolution appears to be seen in J2EE, Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition. The common protocols that have existed in the past and continue to be integral to web services have been useful to the degree that they have blazed the trail to interoperability and compatibility, but J2EE and its counterpart, Microsoft.NET, are seen as bringing web services to the next level. with Windows(r) in the early years, so too formerly was the case with these commonly used technologies. As Windows(r) came to be more widely accepted, more applications were written
to its requirements. Further evolution resulted in Windows(r) becoming the industry standard. The same pattern can be seen to be unfolding in
